Trained Danish Cabinet-maker Hans Sandgren Jakobsen is an award-winning designer most known for the Gallery Stool for Fredericia in 1998. This masterpiece win several international design awards, most notably the 2000 Good Design Award in Japan, The 1998 Forsnäs Prize, Sweden, and the 1998 Architectural Review Award for Product Excellence at Spectrum, UK. Sangren Jakobsen valued brightness and simplicity, befitting to his Danish Scandinavian design tradition. Unlike other Danish designers, he was also taken by the American Shakers and furniture. Currently, Sandgren Jakobsen works with design companies inand Japan and Danish Design Co features some of his creations from Fredericia, Naver Collection and Eilersen.
