Skovby is a Danish design company founded in 1933 by cabinetmaker Thorvald Rasmussen with an aim to create a foundation for environmentally sustainable and functional furniture design. His legacy and craftsmanship has since been passed on to his son and grandsons and is currently run by grandsons Preben and Jorgen Rasmussen. Today, the Skovby design team continues to focus on functional and design sensibility. Skovby carries a glorious legacy of innovation and design and the brand was among the first to develop functional extension systems for tables. Skovby does its best for the environment to reduce environmental footprint on the Earth.
