His chair designs are internationally known and touted as modern Scandinavian furniture classics. His pieces combine form and function and hold high standards of comfort and ergonomics. He believes that a chair isn’t merely a piece of furniture but a work of art that was made to support the human form. Wegner frequently uses wood as a material in his designs, drawing from his background as a skilled cabinet maker.
